New bus service goes from silver line to Dulles

WASHINGTON (AP) — A new express bus service will take passengers between the just-opened stations on the silver line and Washington Dulles International Airport.

Transportation officials say the new express bus service opened Saturday, the same day as the first five stations on the silver line.

Passengers who get off at the silver line’s Wiehle-Reston East station can take the bus service to the airport. Transportation officials say buses will operate every 20 minutes and every 15-minutes during the weekday morning and afternoon rush. Officials say the fare will be $5 each way, which can be paid with cash or credit card.

Before Saturday, customers could ride the orange line to the West Falls Church station and take the Washington Flyer Coach service to Dulles for $10. The new service replaces that option.
