Car plows into Manassas house injuring 3

MANASSAS, Va. – A car plowed into a house at 9123 Bayberry Avenue, just off Liberia Avenue in Manassas on Sunday morning before 5 a.m.

A total of three people were injured, one of them seriously, according to initial reports by fire officials. The person most critically injured was flown to a local hospital for treatment.

Fire officials have called for extensive support to help shore up the partially collapsed house in Prince William County.

Manassass City Battalion Chief Todd Lupton says the car ran into the front of the home and came to a stop only after crashing through the rear of the home. Lupton says entire first floor was “significantly” damaged and had to be shored up so that the investigation could continue.

Manassass City Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
