ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A Glen Burnie man has been convicted of killing his girlfriend’s 3-month-old daughter.
An Anne Arundel County jury on Wednesday convicted 21-year-old Curtis Ryan Morris of second-degree murder in the death of Kairi Lutz.
Prosecutors say on June 10, 2012, Kairi died at a home where Morris was the lone caretaker for the infant. Authorities say an autopsy showed the child died from brain injuries, which had occurred within hours.
Sentencing is set for Aug. 19.
