Man gets 16 years for shooting friend

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — A man who pleaded guilty to shooting a friend in the face while high on PCP has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.

Twenty-five-year-old Mohamed Bah of Silver Spring pleaded guilty to assault and other charges in February. He was sentenced Tuesday in Prince George’s County Circuit Court.

Prosecutors say on May 15, Bah was riding in the car with his friend and another person in Silver Spring. Authorities say Bah was behaving erratically and shot his friend, who was in the back seat, in the face.

Police said Bah ran to a shopping center, where, officers say, he took off his clothes and climbed onto a fire truck, screaming at onlookers.

Authorities say when Bah came down, an officer shocked him with a stun device and arrested him.
