WASHINGTON — WTOP has been following Davis Gestiehr since he was invited on stage to sing with Green Day at the Patriot Center last year.

‘Green Day’ front man Billie Joe randomly picked Gestiehr out of the crowd to assist him on stage. Needless to say, many were surprised by the young singer’s confidence and stage presence.

The experience that got him on the Rolling Stone’s 50 Greatest Live Acts Right Now list.

Saturday night at the Washington Wizards vs. Chicago Bulls packed playoff game, Gestiehr got his chance as the headliner at a packed venue.

As you can hear amid the crowd of 23,000 – he was a hit.
