WASHINGTON — A memorial fund established for a woman killed by a dump truck on Monday morning has been such a success that the family has closed it.
The fund was established after Jennifer Lawson, 39, of Arlington, was hit by the truck around 11:30 a.m. in front of Nottingham Elementary School as she was putting her two-year-old daughter in the rear seat of her minivan. Her daughter wasn’t hurt.
The investigation is ongoing and police continue to seek information.
For those who would like to send a notice of the gift, please address it to:
iDiscovery Solutions 3000 K Street NW. Suite 330 Washington, DC 20007
Police say two vehicles were behind the dump truck when it struck Lawson, but the drivers left the scene. The people inside those vehicles may have insight into the investigation and police would like to speak to them.
Anyone with information should contact the Arlington County police at 703-228-4618 or email Detective Mohammed Tabibi at Mtabibi@arlingtonva.us.
