Tuesday Snow: MCPS, Feds Closed As Snow Closes In

Montgomery County Schools are closed and most federal workers were given the day off before any snow fell in our area on Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service is calling for four to six inches of heavy snow to his much of the region, much of it during the Tuesday morning rush hour. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Montgomery County and other jurisdictions until 2 p.m.

WHAT’S CLOSED/CANCELED?: Montgomery County Public Schools, MCPS administrative offices, all activities in MCPS buildings [MCPS], federal offices [OPM], all Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce events and meetings (follows MCPS), most area private schools [NBC4], non-essential Montgomery County government workers are on liberal leave [Montgomery County].

ROADS CLOSED/ACCIDENTS: The Maryland State Highway Administration is recommending people stay off the roads during the morning rush hour.
