Police arrest 1 of 2 in Prince George’s County murder

WASHINGTON — One of two suspects has been arrested in connection with a killing police say happened around 6 a.m. on Sunday in Bowie, Md.

Vincent Michael Martin, 32, of Northeast was arrested on Sunday, Prince George’s County police say. And an arrest warrant has been issued for DeMarco Gregory James, 30.

Authorities were called to the 2500 block of Nicol Circle after reports of a shooting where they found 27-year-old Michael Leo Reese, of Southeast, shot. He was pronounced dead on the scene, police say.

A preliminary investigation indicates Martin and James went into the house of James’ ex-girlfriend on Nicol Circle. Inside, James confronted the victim, Reece, who was in the home and shot him, police say.

James faces first degree murder charges. Martin faces first and second degree murder charges.
