WASHINGTON – If you ever have the chance to throw the first pitch at a baseball game, be warned: The ante has been upped.
In a video posted July 5 on YouTube, rhythmic gymnast Shin Soo-ji puts her own “spin” on the tradition. The South Korean does what might be described as a standing cartwheel before spinning back to right-side up and tossing the pitch toward home.
Granted it wasn’t a strike, but the ball didn’t hit the ground, and footage of the feat already has nearly 10 million views.
