WASHINGTON – The Nationals’ Racing Presidents face a new challenger from the West Wing — sort of.
Selina Meyer, the vice president in HBO’s comedy series “Veep,” will partner with Teddy in the first relay of the season. This is the first time a TV character will compete in the race.
Meyer’s character has a mascot similar to the other racing presidents. Fans can see her in Center Field Plaza before Tuesday’s game.
The unusual competitor is lacing up the trainers to promote the second season of the show. It begins Sunday, April 14 on HBO.
