WASHINGTON – Starting Monday, fines in the District will be dropping.
Speeding tickets will drop across the board, with the fine for driving more than 11 to 15 miles over the limit decreasing $8 and fines for driving 25 miles over the limit dropping $50.
According to documents obtained by WTOP, 99 percent of speed camera tickets in 2011 and 2012 fell into both of those categories.
Tickets for not clearing an intersection and not completely stopping before making a right turn on red will go down $50.
A $250 ticket for not stopping or yielding to a pedestrian will go down $75.
