In the category of events you don’t see every day is this communal drum circle for all ages and experience levels set for Saturday in the Town of Chevy Chase:
During the event, you will have an opportunity to experience group rhythm in a variety of facilitated activities. Learn how to pull the voices out of your drum/percussion instrument, create rhythms through call and response, and settle your groove into a communal pulse. This event is geared toward those new to drumming and those who have been passionate about rhythm for years. All instruments will be provided, and all participants will walk away with a better sense of how to fit your rhythm into a group situation.
Organizers plan to outdo last year’s drum circle. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
