WTOP Talkback: Buying presents during the holidays…for yourself

WASHINGTON – The stats for Black Friday are in and it looks like shoppers were buying gifts for themselves as well as for holiday gifts.

About 60 percent of shoppers yesterday spent $140 on non-gift items – things for themselves or deals they couldn’t pass up. But sometimes, those items are purchased because people don’t trust their relatives to get them a good gift.

Did you see something at the mall yesterday that you just couldn’t trust Santa or relatives to get for you and what was it? How much did you spend on it?
