Petraeus to testify on Benghazi

WASHINGTON – Gen. David Petraeus will testify on the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Politico reports.

The former CIA director will appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee, but exactly when is not yet known.

Petraeus stepped down after word of an affair surfaced.

The extramarital affair with his biographer Paula Broadwell raised a number of questions, and prompted a Congressional investigation.

Lawmakers also are looking into a questionable relationship the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan had with a Florida socialite.
