Update, 3:13 p.m. - Harris Teeter is sending tractor trailers with gallons of water to three locations in Charlottesville, Va. Company officials say employees will distribute the water to community members affected by the storm. Water distribution has started at Harris Teeter, 975 Emmet Street, Charlottesville. Trucks are still en route to the company’s Hollymead Town Center and Blue Ridge Shopping Center locations.
The company has also added the following stores to their ice distribution locations:

WASHINGTON, 11:43 a.m. - Ice is one of the hottest commodities right now in the D.C. region and bags are going fast.
Sunday, Harris Teeter brought nine truckloads of free ice to six Northern Virginia and three Maryland locations. The ice distribution started at 8 a.m. and by noon Sunday, Harris Teeter had given out 25,200 pounds of ice.
If you need ice, it’s best to call ahead to the store before you go, since supplies quickly disappear. Baltimore residents: Call 311 for cooling center and ice distribution locations.
