Four arrested in string of Germantown burglaries

WASHINGTON – Police have arrested four suspects in connection with a series of burglaries in Germantown since April 6.

The suspects, who have been charged, are:

  • Marcus Antonio Lee, age 20
  • Demarco James Burke, age 20
  • Travis Devon Forbes, age 18, of the 18100 block of Copps Hill Pl., Gaithersburg
  • a juvenile male, age 17, from Washington DC

Lee initially became a suspect while detectives were investigating the burglaries, according to mymcpnews.com. On June 15, Burke and Lee were arrested in D.C. after being found in a stolen vehicle. Lee fled but was found and arrested Wednesday night.

The juvenile male and Forbes were found in a stolen vehicle at a 7-Eleven at 18701 Liberty Mill Road and were arrested by 5th District police just before 3 a.m. The vehicle had been stolen just before 2 a.m. in Gaithersburg.

The burglaries had been plaguing Germantown since April 6.

Eighteen incidents were reported in the following areas:

  • Lake Placid Lane
  • Sir Spencer Way
  • Wayfarer Road
  • Wheatridge Drive
  • Bowman Ridge Drive
  • Town Commons Court
  • McFarlin Drive
  • Stone Hollow Drive
  • Lullaby Road
  • Falcon Crest Road
  • Tilford Way
  • Tarragon Way
  • Polynesian Lane
  • Stone Hollow Drive
  • Lake Geneva Way
  • Marble Hill Place
  • Chatterly Court

In addition to burglaries, several cars were stolen.
