WASHINGTON – Craig Brooks was accused of killing a man who thought he was with Pepco. Now, a second man is going to prison for the murder.

Prince George’s County Deputy State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks says John Haston has been found guilty of first degree felony murder in the killing of David Williams. He faces several other charges, including robbery with a dangerous weapon and first degree burglary.

Prosecutors say last July, Brooks knocked on Williams’ door in Bowie, saying he was a Pepco worker. Williams let him in and they discussed different electrical issues.

The next day, prosecutors say Haston and Brooks returned to the victim’s home, then robbed and killed him.

Brooks has already pleaded guilty for his role in the crime. Haston now faces a sentence of life in prison plus 100 years. He’ll be sentenced July 20.
