Flaming hay bales shut down Baltimore Beltway

WASHINGTON – A flaming pile of hay bales tied up traffic on the outer loop of the Baltimore Beltway Thursday morning.

WBALTV reports the hay caught fire before 11 a.m.

Baltimore County Fire Department sent 11 engines, tankers and other equipment trying to put out the fire.

There were delays in both directions of 695 and Inner Loop from Reisterstown Road.
