Detectives investigate shooting in IHOP restaurant

WASHINGTON – Metropolitan Police detectives are offering a reward for more information on a shooting that took place in an IHOP restaurant in northwest.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at the restaurant on the corner of 14th Street and Irving Street at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 11. Officers arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim and another black man were fighting inside the restaurant, according to investigators. The man who fought the victim was accompanied by two other black men and a black woman, detectives say.

Anyone with more information on the shooting is asked to call Metropolitan Police at 202-727-9099 or text the tip line at 50411.

D.C. Crime Solvers is offering a reward of $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
