Google doodle gives lesson in love, political message on V-Day

WASHINGTON – Google users are no doubt familiar with the all-powerful search engine’s famous doodles — sketches, animations and creative online videos that mark special days on the calendar.

True to form, the doodlers behind Google came up with a heartwarming way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Visitors to Google’s homepage can press the “play” button on a would-be Romeo’s Valentine and watch a short animation of a young boy’s unsuccessful attempts to woo a jump-roping girl.

After multiple tries, he finally finds the way to her heart — but we won’t spoil it for you.

The video includes an epilogue with a subtle political message from the online giant, depicting other loving couples such as a dog and cat, an astronaut and martian, a frog and a princess, an interracial couple and a pair of men in tuxedos holding hands.

Take a look here, and Happy Valentine’s Day.

P.S. – For math lovers, you can also type this — sqrt(cos(x))*cos(300x)+sqrt(abs(x))-0.7)*(4-x*x)^0.01, sqrt(6-x^2), -sqrt(6-x^2) from -4.5 to 4.5 — into the Google search bar for another surprise. (h/t Mashable)
