The University System of Maryland’s Board of Regents could vote as soon as Friday on a proposed merger of the University of Maryland, College Park and University of Maryland, Baltimore. While no official word has been passed down, USM spokesman Mike Lurie said it’s likely the Regents will call a meeting to discuss a drafted merger report on Friday.
