WASHINGTON — The Montgomery County police are trying to identify a man who was seriously injured after being hit by a car Sunday night in Rockville.
Officers were called to Norbeck and Baltimore roads just before 9 p.m., where a driver who was traveling east on Norbeck crashed into the man.
“There is no crosswalk on that side of the intersection,” said police Capt. Paul Starks.
Investigators spoke to the driver of the vehicle, who remained on the scene.
The victim was taken to a hospital with critical injuries, and he has not been conscious. Police still do not know who he is.
“He doesn’t have any identification with him,” said Starks. “We want to be able to reach out to family and notify them.”
The man is described as Hispanic and probably 35 to 40 years old.
Anyone with information about the accident or the pedestrian’s identity is asked to call the police department’s collision reconstruction unit at 240-773-6620.
