Police: Man arrested for bomb threat in Md. MVA

BELTSVILLE, Md. (AP) — Police say they have arrested a man they say threatened to detonate a bomb at a Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration building in Beltsville.

Maryland State Police said 60-year-old Christopher Louis Adams was arrested without incident on Tuesday. Police say he was arrested on a warrant for threats to commit mass violence and threats to commit arson.

Police say that a Motor Vehicle Administration employee told a trooper that Adams, of Bethesda, said he planned to return with a bomb and wanted to detonate it at the building. Police are asking anyone else with information about the incident to contact authorities. It was not immediately clear if Adams has an attorney.
