DC police seek person of interest in NW hotel assault

WASHINGTON – The D.C. police are looking for the public’s help in finding a person of interest in an assault they say happened at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Northwest D.C. Saturday.

The police say that a man armed with a knife assaulted, and tried to sexually assault, someone in a building in the 1000 block of H Street in Northwest, at about 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

He’s described as being between 5 feet, 1 inch and 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a medium build, between 21 and 25 years old, with a light complexion and black hair.

He was wearing a blue jacket, dark-colored pants and white or grey shoes at the time of the incident.
