Woman injured during snow exercise in DC

WASHINGTON (AP) — A transportation official in Washington say a woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a snow plow during an event to test officials’ readiness for snow.

District Department of Transportation spokesman Reggie Sanders says the woman, a DDOT staff member, was struck by the plow Friday during a snow exercise. Sanders says the woman has serious injuries to both legs.

Sanders could not identify the woman or provide details about the accident. He says officials are continuing to investigate the accident’s cause.
