Frosh Attacks Cardin In Attorney General Race – Trailing Del. Jon Cardin in an attorney general primary that has garnered little attention, District 16 State Sen. Brian Frosh alluded to Cardin’s absence at almost 75 percent of his committee hearings during the last legislative session. Cardin said that family issues meant he couldn’t be in Annapolis and that his committee chairman was informed and excused him. [Washington Post]

Bethesda Startup Wins $100,000 In State Contest – Bethesda-based Brain Sentry, which developed a helmet-mounted sensor to identify athletes who might have a concussion, won the Life Sciences category of the state’s InvestMaryland Challenge. Transportation Forum For Council Candidates Set For Next Week – All candidates for County Council seats in this year’s primary are invited to a forum on transportation issues next week in Silver Spring.
