Bleed burgundy and gold? Blood drives hope fans will prove it

WASHINGTON — If you say you bleed burgundy and gold, the Redskins say it’s time for you to prove it.

The team and the American Red Cross are hosting several blood drives over the coming days, and every donor gets a free game ticket as an incentive.

You’ll get to watch the ‘Skins host the Jets, the Patriots or another home game this season.

Plus, if you show up with a friend or a group you can get seats next to each other at the same game.

Wednesday’s drive runs from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Hampton Inn Frederick at 5311 Buckeystown Pike in Frederick.

Another drive is scheduled Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Waldorf School at 3074 Crain Highway in Waldorf.

On Friday, Dec. 9 there will be a third drive from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Glen Echo Park at 7300 MacArthur Boulevard in Glen Echo.

To avoid a potentially long wait at these drives, you’re encouraged to make an appointment ahead of time. You can do that by calling 1-800-RED CROSS.
