LAS VEGAS (AP) — Round 1: Mayweather 10-9, Mayweather wins an opening round fought very cautiously by both boxers
Round 2: Mayweather 10-9. Mayweather lands some good lefts, while Maidana picks up pace
Round 3: Mayweather 10-9. Mayweather boxing well, takes a right hand at the bell
Round 4: Maidana 10-9. Maidana picks up the pace and is effective on the ropes to win his first round
Round 5: Mayweather 10-9. Mayweather regains control, landing a few good lefts and a right to the head late
Round 6: Mayweather 10-9. Not a big round for either fighter, but Mayweather lands sharper punches
Round 7: Mayweather 10-9. Mayweather lands jab at will, further frustrating Maidana
Round 8: Mayweather 10-9. Round gets wild when Mayweather accuses Maidana of biting him on the wrist
Round 9: Mayweather 10-9. Maidana just can’t get anything going against a master defensive fighter
Round 10: Maidana 9-9. Maidana wins round but is penalized a point for tripping Mayweather
Round 11: Mayweather 10-9. Close round that Mayweather pulls out in end with a good left hook in final seconds
Round 12: Maidana 10-9. Mayweather takes the round off, doing little other than dancing with big lead
Total: Mayweather 117-110
