There's growing concern about highly caffeinated energy drinks getting into the wrong hands.
Poison experts say more and more adolescents are trying to boost workouts or balance school, jobs and sleep with homemade energy drinks made with caffeine powder that can provide lethal doses of caffeine to unaware users.
While the industry of caffeinated food products is still small compared with energy drinks, The Wall Street Journal reports sales in the U.S. have increased nearly 50 percent to $1.6 billion since 2008.
