Police arrest man for death of live-in girlfriend

TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Baltimore County police have charged a 53-year-old man with the death of his live-in girlfriend.

Police said Clyde Campbell was being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail after his arrest Thursday.

Police found the body of Dorothy Grubb around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday along Peninsula Expressway, about one mile east of Merritt Boulevard in Dundalk.

Investigators had been searching the area since the 61-year-old woman was reported missing over the weekend.

Campbell had been pulled over and arrested Monday on an unrelated weapons charge.

Detectives and a forensic team went through the house Grubb and Campbell shared on Wednesday night. They walked out with bags filled with evidence and charged Campbell for Grubb’s death hours later.
