Alicia Silverstone feeds her baby ... mouth-to-mouth

WASHINGTON - It seems Alicia Silverstone may be taking parenting advice from, well, birds.
In a video posted to her website, The Kind Life, Silverstone is seen eating a spoonful of food, chewing it, and then feeding it to her son, Bear Blu, mouth-to-mouth, the Huffington Post reports.
"I fed Bear the mochi and a tiny bit of veggies from the soup…from my mouth to his. It's his favorite...and mine," the 35-year-old actress writes. "This video was taken about a month or 2 ago when he was a bit wobbly. Now he is grabbing my mouth to get the food!"
Silverstone's website, like her cookbook, offers health advice and recipes for what she calls "eco-living."
Pre-chewing, says The Huffington Post, is uncommon in the U.S., but is a practice used in other parts of the world. Advocates say it provides healthy enzymes from the mother's mouth, while other doctors caution it can spread disease.
