‘Jeopardy!’ Tournament of Champs starts next week

NEW YORK (AP) — Julia Collins and Arthur Chu will be among the winningest “Jeopardy!” contestants who return to battle for a $250,000 grand prize with 13 other former champions in the “Tournament of Champions” starting next Monday.

The two-week event will showcase the most successful contestants from the past two seasons, the quiz show’s producers announced.

Last June, Collins became the first woman in the program’s history to win 20 games, a streak that places her second on the all-time consecutive wins list.

Last spring, Chu employed a controversial technique of leapfrogging around the game board to win 11 games, placing him fourth on the all-time consecutive wins list.

Alex Trebek is host of the long-running program. Check local listings for time and channel.
