Pedestrian struck on Randolph Road

WASHINGTON — The pedestrian hit by a Ride-On bus last month died on May 7 after to succumbing to injuries she sustained in the April 29.

The investigation remains under investigation.

WASHINGTON — A Ride-On bus struck a woman in her mid-30s Tuesday morning, seriously injuring her, according to Montgomery County Police spokesman Capt. Paul Starks.

The accident shut down westbound Randolph Road in the Silver Spring area for about five hours.

Police say Tsehay Demeke Woldemanuel, 34 of Silver Spring, suffered life- threatening injuries. She was crossing the westbound lanes when she was hit by the bus. But investigators don’t know if she was in the crosswalk at the time.

Police say the bus driver was not injured.

The westbound lanes of Randolph Road between Tivoli Lake Boulevard and Middlevale Lane reopened just after 10 a.m.
