Bethesda Gets Set For Black Friday, Small Business Saturday

The traditional kick-off to the holiday shopping season will actually start on Thanksgiving night this year and continue into the weekend with Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.

The upscale shops at Bethesda Row will be taking part.

Black Friday sales include Capital Teas (4806 Bethesda Ave.) where a purchase of more than $75 will get shoppers a free Capital Teas Mug. Spend more than $125 and receive a free magic tea marker. Spend more than $175 and get a free signature sampler set and spend more than $300 and get a free hobnail cast iron teapot.

City Sports (7121 Arlington Rd.) will sell all Nike and Adidas products at 25 percent off. Daddy & Son (4836 Bethesda Ave.) is selling all of its European dress shirts and other clothing at 20 percent off. Women’s clothing boutique Ginger is (7114 Bethesda Lane) is selling all products 40 percent off from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., 30 percent off from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., 20 percent off from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 10 percent off all day Saturday and Sunday.

Cookware maker Le Creuset (7116 Bethesda Lane) is giving away a free set of three sauce jars with any purchase of $150 or more. Pink Palm’s (4867 Bethesda Ave.) entire fall collection will be on sale for 30 to 50 percent off.

Sassanova shoes and accessories (7134 Bethesda Lane) will have 30 percent off the entire store from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 25 percent off from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Secolari olive oil and vinegar tasting room (7249 Woodmont Ave.) is offering 10 percent off the purchase of two gift boxes or more. Furniture store Urban Country (7117 Arlington Rd.) is offering 25 percent off gifts and accessories and an additional 10 percent off furniture.

Finally, Redwood Restaurant and Bar (7121 Bethesda Lane) is offering 15 perent off any meal if you show a receipt from any Bethesda Row merchant. American Tap Room and Cafe Deluxe will also offer Black Friday brunch.

Some, such as clothing boutique Wear it Well (4816 Bethesda Ave.) are offering 25 percent off a purchase of $100 or more for Small Business Saturday.

And of course, shoppers can always go the traditional Black Friday mall or big box store route at Westfield Montgomery Mall (7101 Democracy Blvd.), which will open at midnight with a wealth of deals.
