Motorcyclist killed in crash in Lanham, Maryland

LANHAM, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County Police say a motorcyclist was killed when his vehicle left the road and hit a guardrail.

It happened about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday on Greenbelt Road in Lanham. Officers say 56-year-old Robert Edward Bailey III of Silver Spring was driving the motorcycle west when he failed to negotiate a curve.

Police say the motorcycle hit a curb and then a guardrail. Bailey died at a hospital.

The accident is under investigation.
