Police identify suspect in Metro station carjacking

WASHINGTON — The Metro Transit Police have identified a suspect in the carjacking of a woman and her child at the New Carrollton Metro station last week.

Police say Darius Jennings, 20, carjacked the pair at about 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 7. The woman was taking her child out the back of her Toyota RAV4 when Jennings told her to exit the car with her child, but leave her purse in it. He then drove off; no one was hurt.

The vehicle was found two days later, according to a Washington Post report.

If you see Jennings, or know anything about where he is, call the Metro police at 202-962-2121, or text your tip to 696873.
