WASHINGTON - A maintenance crane came off the tracks overnight Thursday in the same area where a Metro train derailed last week.
There were no service disruptions this time after the crane -- a light piece of maintenance equipment used to replace railroad ties -- derailed around the Rhode Island Avenue station early Friday morning.
Metro says the derailment didn't happen on the same track, and officials don't believe the incidents are related.
