WASHINGTON - Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is apparently blogging about Washington. Her site, called "Goop," is offering it's readers a list of her favorite things in D.C.
"Goop" is described as a weekly lifestyle journal delivered to its fans through email. While the actress and her husband, Coldplay's Chris Martin, live in London, Paltrow decided to venture state-side to reintroduce herself to D.C.
In her post about Washington Paltrow says a friend asked for a hotel recommendation in D.C. and she realized it had been too long since she had visited the nation's capital.
Here's her take on what's changed since her last trip.
"While we can't tell for sure, we do notice a palpable shift in fashionable areas of town as this term comes to a close. A previously hot Georgetown seems to now have more cupcake shops than restaurants, while an edgier U Street and the urban Chinatown/Penn Quarter area boom."
She also found the hotels she'd recommend to her friend: the Hay-Adams, the Four Seasons and the Palomar.
