UPDATE: May 7, 2013
WASHINGTON – Many have been waiting for the interview with Charles Ramsey — credited with helping rescue three captive women in Cleveland — to get Songified, also known as autotuned.
It didn’t take long. Not long at all.
From the people who brought you “Bed Intruder,” here’s “Dead Giveaway.”
WASHINGTON (May 6) – Charles Ramsey just might be the Internet hero we’ve been waiting for.
While the nation watches the story unfold for three Ohio women, kidnapped as teens, who were found alive after they disappeared a decade ago, Ramsey’s story is also coming to light.
It’s the story of a meme. And if you’d like to see an Internet star being born, this tale is for you.
“Christmas just came 7 months early!” — every YouTube autotuner, watching the Charles Ramsey interview #deeeeadgiveaway

Idea for reality show: George Ramsey and uncle Ruslan Tsarni team up to solve crimes.

*later edited to say Charles, not George*
Without hesitation Ramsey answered the call of a woman, Amanda Berry, screaming for help. As she was holding a child, Ramsey kicked and pulled Berry out of the home she was trapped in and dialed 911. All in all, three missing women were rescued and three men, accused of holding them prisoner, are in jail.

But it’s an animated interview given by Ramsey on the scene that’s truly captured the world’s attention.
Ramsey lived near the house and says he and his neighbor, one of the men arrested, had spent time together – and that normally, there wasn’t anything striking about him.
“He’s just somebody you look, and then you look away, because he’s not doing nothing but the average stuff. You know what I’m saying? There’s nothing exciting about him,” says Ramsey, before taking a deep breath.
“Well…until today.”
Still dismayed, Ramsey tells the reporters, “I knew something was wrong when a little, pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms.”
But reading won’t do it justice. Watch the video below – you won’t be disappointed.
