Annandale bank robbed Tuesday morning

WASHINGTON — An M&T Bank in Annandale was robbed on Tuesday morning by a man who implied he had a gun and demanded cash from a teller.

Fairfax County police say the man went into the bank on the 78– block of Heritage Drive around 9:30 a.m. and handed the 21-year-old teller a demand note, implying he had a weapon. He then fled the building on foot.

No one was injured.

Police did not say how much money he stole.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 6-feet tall, with an athletic build. He was wearing a gray sport coat, a black Fedora, sunglasses and sneakers.
