Woman sexually assaulted after buying coffee in Fairfax Co.

WASHINGTON – A 23-year-old woman was sexually assaulted after getting a cup of coffee Sunday night in Fairfax County, Mount Vernon police say.

She was parked near 7704 Richmond Highway at 8:30 p.m. when a man approached her car carrying a knife and demanding money. He assaulted the victim, but her screams caused the suspect to run away, the woman told police.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his late 30’s with a narrow face. He is between 5-feet-6 and 5-feet-8 inches tall with a thin build. He wore a blue baseball cap and a light blue hooded sweatshirt.
