WASHINGTON - This weekend in entertainment includes jam bands, local talent and a world record attempt involving "tighty-whitey" underwear.
Also scheduled for Saturday night, local band Wheelie is attempting an official world record for "most backup dancers in their tighty-whities" as part of a music-video shoot at the Stroga Ballroom in Adams Morgan.
An Eventbrite posting explains all of the instructions for potential participants -- including the registration fee, which gets each person their own pair of white briefs and a T-shirt to be worn as a costume for the video shoot.
"The video will serve as a pure artistic expression of Wheelie's core belief that the most important thing you can do as an individual in our modern time is to throw off the shackles of your professional, adult responsibilities, and get in touch with the lost innocence of childhood," the Eventbrite listing reads.
