WASHINGTON – D.C. police were searching Sunday night for a very young suspect.
At 8:19 p.m., police tweeted that a black male, 6 to 7 years old, wearing a white shirt and black shorts, was wanted in connection with a robbery in the 4300 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue in Northeast. The suspect also was described as being 4 feet tall and weighing 100 pounds.
In a news release issued at about 10:15 p.m., police say they were investigating an allegation involving a group of boys ages 7 to 14 that approached a customer at a McDonald’s in the 4300 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE earlier that evening.
Police say one of the boys allegedly took the customer’s cellphone and fled.
