Join WTOP anchors at 3rd annual WAFF Ice House

Imagine that feeling of a chilly house in the winter. Imagine how good it feels to bump up the thermostat and feel the warmth spread through your home. What if that wasn’t an option? What if, after piling blanket on blanket on blanket, it still felt as cold inside as it is outside?

Thousands of D.C.-area families, veterans, seniors and more experience this every year. That’s why The Wharf in Southwest D.C. is proud to be hosting the third annual Ice House on behalf of the Washington Area Fuel Fund (WAFF). Come feel the chill of living in a house with no heat and join Washington Gas, and The Salvation Army in raising funds to keep our neighbors warm this winter!

The Ice House will be open on the following days and times:

  • Friday, January 17: 12pm – 6pm – Join Bruce Alan and Joan Jones IN the Ice House for a sneak peek at 11am Friday!
  • Saturday, January 18: 12pm – 5pm

Join us and enter to win exciting prizes, see local celebrities “chill” in the Ice House, come meet the magical Frost Fairy and have your face painted, get your “Bring the Heat” thermal photo, and more!
