Cybersecurity tenant to join Capital One in UMd.’s Diamondback Garage

A global cybersecurity firm with a College Park presence will be the second company to locate permanently in the Diamondback Garage, part of the University of Maryland’s Discovery District.

BlueVoyant, launched in early 2017 as BlueteamGlobal, will establish a Global Cyber Analytics Center in College Park early this year. The center, operating first out of a temporary space, will initially employ 25 analysts and data scientists with an expansion once the permanent space opens in the Discovery District.

The Maryland Department of Commerce is backing the center with a $100,000 conditional loan through the Maryland Economic Development Assistance Authority and Fund. Prince George’s County will match that with a conditional loan through its Economic Development Incentive Fund. BlueVoyant will also eligible for other state incentives, such as property tax credits through the RISE Zone Program.
