Louisiana teens indicted in death of airman from Virginia

BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) — Two Louisiana teenagers are charged as adults in the shooting death of an airman who was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base.

News outlets report 18-year-old Jareona Crosby and 15-year-old Alonzo Wilson, both of Bossier (BOZH-er) City, were indicted Dec. 10 for second-degree murder in the slaying of 30-year-old Air Force Technical Sgt. Joshua Kidd.

He grew up in Moneta (moh-NEE-tuh), Virginia, and was killed Sept. 25 after interrupting a vehicle burglary in the garage of his Bossier City home.

Court records show Crosby was arraigned Dec. 11 and pleaded not guilty. She is being held in the Bossier Parish jail under $900,000 bond.

Wilson has been held in a juvenile facility.

It was not immediately clear whether Crosby and Wilson are represented by attorneys who could speak for them.
