Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States begins seeing patients at its new Haymarket medical center Monday.
The new Prince William County facility, first announced in June 2018, comprises 36,423 square feet for primary care, OB-GYN, clinical lab, pharmacy, optometry and behavioral health services, in addition to imaging services like general radiology, bone density scanning and mammography.
And beyond those services, the system is tapping technology, like video conferencing, for patients to consult with specialists without having to travel to another appointment farther away.
“It’s not just a building, it’s really the connective tissue to the rest of our delivery system throughout the region,” said Kim Horn, Kaiser’s regional president.
