The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.80 per share.
The manufacturer posted revenue of $5.74 billion in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $5.76 billion.
Trane Technologies expects full-year earnings in the range of $12.95 to $13.05 per share.
