BEIJING (AP) — BEIJING (AP) — New Oriental Education & Technology Group Inc. (EDU) on Tuesday reported profit of $240.7 million in its fiscal first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Beijing-based company said it had profit of $1.50. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.61 per share.
The educational services provider posted revenue of $1.52 billion in the period.
For the current quarter ending in November, New Oriental said it expects revenue in the range of $1.13 billion to $1.16 billion.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $5.15 billion to $5.39 billion.
