The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 9 cents per share.
The battery maker posted revenue of $11.3 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $8 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company’s shares hit $2.49. A year ago, they were trading at $2.16.
